Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso said on Thursday that he will likely hold bilateral talks with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak on the sidelines of the upcoming Group of 20 (G20) financial summit scheduled for April 2 in London.

"There is a great possibility for our talks," Aso said at a House of Councilors Budget Committee session.

"I would like to discuss with President bilateral cooperation on the abduction issue if the meeting is realized," said Aso, noting that the schedule is under arrangement.
