China to Strengthen Int'l Cooperation on Disaster Management

China says on Wednesday it would like to work with developing nations and international organizations to deal with the disasters and build up a secure, harmonious and prosperous world.

Vice Premier Hui Liangyu made the remarks when meeting representatives from 11 developing countries who are attending a conference sharing disaster management experiences.

Hui said China and the developing countries had conducted fruitful cooperation on disaster management in accordance with the principles of equality and reciprocity and effectiveness.

The conference was sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce.
