China Opens National Website on Land and Resources

The Chinese government has officially opened a website on land and resources to supply the public and businesses with more information and services on resources.

By logging on to www.lrn.cn, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR), visitors can research findings on China's land and resources, local resources statistics, resources industry news, and investment information in land and mining markets.

Wang Shiyuan, vice minister of Land and Resources, said the website would help promote the development of China's land and resources industry.

With the rapid development of China's economy, land and resources shortages have become more serious.

"The previous website of the MLR failed to supply information on resources market analyses, investment, science, education and tourism, and the new website may overcome these shortcomings," said an MLR official.
