A group of 33 young climate change awareness ambassadors from China and India started a two-day visit in Shanghai on Thursday, their second stop for a nationwide environmental protection tour.
Organized by the British Council, the Climate Cool campaign is to enhance people's awareness about climate change and take action to tackle the problem.
The ambassadors were selected from a short-list of school teams participating in the British Council's 2008 Climate Cool competition.
They set off from Beijing on Tuesday and will continue their tour in other major Chinese cities.
In Shanghai, the ambassadors will tour "eco-buildings," Dongtan wetlands and the national bird natural protection zone in suburban Chongming County.
