The year-on-year investment growth rate in western China slowed down at a quicker pace than that in coastal and middle parts of China over the previous ten months, the latest official data shows.

The National Development and Reform Commission posted the data on its website on Thursday, showing the western region's investment growth rate went down 1.9 percent compared with the same period last year, while central and eastern regions' growth rate fell by 0.6 and 0.1 percent respectively.
