Shanghai GM to Recall 7,393 Imported Vehicles

Shanghai General Motors Co has decided to recall some of the imported sedans sold in China to fix faulty sensor pads that could lead to front seat passenger air bags failing to operate in a crash.
The recall, set to begin Feb 2, 2011, affects 7,939 imported Cadillac CTS vehicles manufactured between March 23, 2004, and June 26, 2007, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said in a statement on its website Tuesday. The statement said owners of the vehicles may contact the automaker on the customers' free phone service 8008201902 for more information or dial phone numbers 010-59799616 or 65537365 for defective products control center with AQSIQ.
The automaker will repair the faulty components free of charge.
