China's Ministry of Finance said Friday it will issue 20 billion yuan (US$2.9 billion) of book-entry treasury bonds next Monday.

The 182-day bonds will be sold at an issue price of 99.121 yuan and have a face value of 100 yuan, equivalent to an annual interest rate of 1.8 percent, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

The bonds will be the ninth batch of their kind sold by the ministry this year.

The bonds will be sold between July 26 and July 28 and interest on them will be calculated from July 26.

The bonds will become tradable July 30.
