Entrepreneur Confidence Index Promoted in Q2

According to the results of nationwide survey showed that entrepreneur confidence index (ECI) gained 110.2 in the second quarter, promoted 9.1 points over previous quarter.

The majority of entrepreneurs hold a positive attitude towards enterprise development. In the second quarter, the ECIs of industry, construction, transport, storage and postal industry, wholesale and retail trade, real estate, information transmission and computer services and software industry, accommodation and catering industry stood at 106.3, 126.2, 106.6, 114.5, 116.7, 143.2 and 100.6 respectively, which increased to some extent, quarter-on-quarter; of which, the ECIs of industry, real estate, accommodation and catering industry went up above the critical point threshold, respectively upturned 9.8, 26.7 and 5.2 points; that of manufacturing sector marked improvement which stood at 105.2, up by 10.5 points quarter-on-quarter, that of social services stood at 99.6, remained general lever quarter-on-quarter.

The majority of entrepreneurs’ confidence of registered enterprises picked up. The ECIs of state-owned enterprises, joint-stock cooperative enterprises, limited liability company, limited liability company, private enterprises, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign-invested enterprises stood at 109.8, 104.6, 106.7, 113.6, 101.8 and 112.9, located above the critical point threshold; that of collective enterprises stood at 96.9. As compared with previous quarter, the ECIs of various registered enterprises improved, of which, limited liability company picked up the biggest, which was amounting to 11.8 points.

The ECI of large sized enterprises improved significantly. In the second quarter, the ECIs of larger and medium sized enterprises stood at 118.2 and 111.0, with a rise of 16.2 and 9.1 points respectively; that of small sized enterprises stood at 99.5, promoted 6.0 points quarter-on-quarter, which closed to the critical point threshold.

The ECIs of eastern, central and western regions has picked up. In the second quarter, the ECIs of eastern, central and western regions stood at 107.4, 113.3 and 113.2, went up by 11.7, 6.6 and 7.2 points quarter-on-quarter, of which, the ECI of eastern region went back to the critical point threshold.
