Blair: West 'Over-focus' on RMB

During an exclusive interview with China Radio International (CRI), former British Prime Minister Tony Blair gave some candid responses to his perspective of China's role in the world.

Tony Blair even admitted that the West has made some mistakes on foreign policy issues in the past. Most notably, he said, "you can over-focus on the RMB currency in the West."

Mr. Blair explained that he opposes "trade protectionism" and hopes that at the G20 Summit on November 11-12 in Seoul, South Korea; nation's leaders will "work on trade policies not with a megaphone," but work in "cooperation."

The former British prime minister also pointed out some interesting tidbits of information when talking to CRI. He noted that "China is home to more Muslims than all of Europe."
