Indonesian economy needs four years to go back to 2008's growth of 6.1 percent, the private news portal detikcom quoted Indonesian central banks, Bank Indonesia, as saying on Wednesday.

The bank said that although the country could suffer heavy blow this year, economy would remain healthy with controlled inflation in the middle term.

Bank Indonesia also said that this year, the country would grow 3.5 to 4.5 percent.

"Growth of 5.7 to 6.7 percent would be gained in 2013," the bank said in a report titled 2009-2014 Indonesian Economy Outlook.

The report stated that the domestic demand would remain the main power to spur economy growth. Export performance would be strong in line with global economy recovery in 2010.

However, strong pressure to the domestic economy in 2009 would retard growth in the longer term.
