Pakistani PM Leaves to Attend WEF

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani left on Tuesday to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland.
Speaking before his departure, Gilani said the focus of his talks with world leaders would be to solicit their support in poverty alleviation in the country.
Gilani will represent Pakistan at the WEF on a four-day visit to Davos, Switzerland.
He is accompanied by Minister for Commerce Amin Faheem, Minister for Privatization Naveed Qamar and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Division Hina Rabbani Khar.
Gilani is likely to hold bilateral meetings with his British counterpart Gordon Brown and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, according to the Official Associated Press of Pakistan.
