Industrial Production -- October 2006

In October of this year, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size (from all the state-owned industrial enterprises, and non state-owned ones with annual sales revenue over 5 million yuan) reached 760.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 14.7%. The proportion of industrial products sold was 98.44%, up by 0.61 percentage points over the same period of last year. The consignment export value of the industrial enterprises reached 539.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 22.2%.

 

Among major industrial branches, the production of textile rose 12.0%, that of the chemical materials and chemical products went up 18.2%, that of non-metallic mineral products industry climbed 18.8%, that of the smelting and pressing of ferrous metals went up 21.9%, that of general equipment manufacturing rose 22.4%, that of transportation equipment manufacturing was up 26.9%, that of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing rose 12.6%, that of the communications equipment, computer and other electronic equipment manufacturing increased 17.3%, the production and supply of electricity and heat was up 13.9%.

 

Among major production, the outputs of raw coal, crude oil and electricity generated were 0.187 billion ton, 15.5 million ton and 232.4 billion kilowatt-hour respectively, a year-on-year rise of 14.6%, 0.6% and 14.4% respectively; those of iron, crude steel and steel products were 36.15 million ton, 37.68 million ton and 41.59 million ton, a year-on-year rise of 19.2%, 18.0% and 23.4% respectively; that of cement was 0.11 billion ton, up 16.8%; that of automobile was 618 thousand, up 35.6%, especially, and that of car was 323 thousand, up 34.8%.

 

Added up from January to October, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 6,986.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 16.9%.
