A research room has been established under the name of Chen Zhaofu, a local expert on cliff paintings in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Located inside the Yinchuan world cliff painting museum, the research room features research materials collected and compiled by Chen as well as his personal works over the past 30 years.

Chen's research work, which has been translated into French, Italian and German, has resulted in worldwide appreciation of Chinese cliff paintings.

The Yinchuan world cliff painting museum, so far the only one of its kind in China, boasts a treasure trove of 3,000 pictures of cliff paintings from more than 40 countries and regions as well as rubbings of cliff paintings from 20 provinces and autonomous regions across China.
