2 Students Missing in Tibet Storm-triggered Flooding

A heavy storm in Zayu County of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region has left at least 2 students missing and cut water, power supplies, regional authorities said on Monday.

Floods caused by the storm that started to hit the county on April 23 have destroyed at least one house and damaged many others in Zayu's villages. A student was seen rushing away by the torrents, said a spokesman with the regional government.

Another student had been reported missing. And rescuers are searching for them, he added.

Heavy rains are continuing to ravage Zayu where 208 people have been forced to relocate, he said, without giving more details.
