Collapse Kills 4 at Market Construction Site in E China

Four people died and seven were injured when the steel framework canopy of a market under construction collapsed Wednesday in east China's Jiangsu Province, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident happened at the site of an agricultural trading center being built by Jiangsu Jianxing Construction Engineering Group at 2:10 PM in Tinghu District of Yanhu City, an official with the Tinghu District government said.
Two people died at the scene and two died later in hospital. The seven injured were all stable, the official said.
The work safety inspection bureau of the Yanhu municipal government is investigating the cause of the accident.
