Moderate Earthquake Jolts Xinjiang

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale hit Hami city in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 00:03 AM Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was at 41.9 degrees north latitude and 94.5 degrees east longitude.
