The Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court on Thursday gave suspended death to Gao Junjie, a man who was in connection with the tainted milk scandal, and imprisonment ranging from five years to life to three others.

The court is set to sentence 21 defendants implicated in the scandal Thursday afternoon. Before handing down penalties to the four, it sentenced a man named Zhang Yujun to death and a man named Zhang Yanzhang to life in prison.
