Hong Kong singer-actress Gillian Chung arrived in Beichuan on Wednesday December 3rd. Beichuan was one of the worst quake-affected cities in southwest China's Sichuan Province. She delivered food and warm clothes to children affected by the May 12th earthquake, sina.com reported on Saturday.

Gillian had first visited Sichuan earlier this year in September for a week-long series of free performances and promised those kids she would come back in winter.

Gillian remained very low-key and did not contact any media before embarking on this trip, the article said.

It is reported Gillian made the donation through a relief organization which was instructed to help organize proceedings with great secrecy.

The singer, still reeling from the nude photo scandal at the beginning this year, largely remained out of the public eye since the scandal broke.
