Zhongguancun Innovation Emphasizes Global Technology

A recent Beijing research and innovation forum highlighted 254 of the latest scientific achievements from 69 key universities, State-owned laboratories and military bases.

Nearly 600 persons from Zhongguancun science park and the Bohai Rim Area were in attendance. About 32 contracts were signed at the event.

In addition, 11 high-tech enterprises from the US and Israel also displayed and discussed their latest technology and products on solar energy and tablet computer technologies.

The forum also included exhibitions of small-scale technological products from computer manufacturers like Hanwang, Aigo, Legend and Apple.

A meeting on innovation and enterprise was attended by Wei Jianing, deputy director of the Macro Economic Research Institute of the State Council's Development Research Center, Zhao Gang of the China Science and Technology Development Strategy Research Institute and Han Yongfei, Beijing Mian Network Co CEO.

Experts exchanged views on issues concerning the internationalization of enterprises, global cooperation and segmented marketing strategies in Haidian Science Park.

Beijing Leili, Netqin Tianxia, Trusme and Weixun Zijingtook all participated in the forum, which stressed government policies, corporate innovations and the environment.

Some 13 creative enterprises showcased their latest products and technologies, which included new media, digital publication and animation.

The nation's first dynamic video control system developed by the Computer Technological Research Institute of China's Science Academy was among products debuted by exhibitors.

According to available reports, more than 10 intentional contracts worth 20 million yuan were signed during the event.

Several domestic online media corporations including CCTV.com and Zhongguancun Online held the first Haidian innovation competition at the forum.

Organizers hoped it would boost communication among talented people in the cultural innovation industry.

Held in conjunction with the activities are the 13th Zhongguancun computer festival and the second Serious Game Innovation summit at the China Science and Technology Museum.

All the above-mentioned events are included as part of Zhongguancun Innovation, an annual series of events promoting new products and industries.
