A Macao Science Center will be open to the public on January 25 as part of the local government's efforts to promote science education in a region known as Asia's gaming hub.
The science center can accommodate around 450 interactive exhibits and the galleries inside cover several topics, from space science to eco-conservation, according to the Macao Daily Times.
There is a Planetarium inside the center as well, which can seat 139 people and has a set of 12 digital projectors for showing normal dome films and three dimensional images. From January 25, it will screen two shows in Chinese, Portuguese and English.
Three of the galleries were specially designed for children, including the Fun Science Gallery, the Children Science Gallery, and the Science Express Gallery, where children can discover the fun part of science.
Aside from exhibits, the science center also has a multi-function convention hall and four meeting rooms, with the convention hall capable of accommodating 500 people for meetings.
