China Assures Support to Flood Victims in Pakistan

A Chinese delegation comprising officials from various government departments assured its country' s support in rehabilitation of the flood-affected people in Pakistan during the meeting in Islamabad with the Acting Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Sajjad Naeem, reported a local media APP on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Sajjad Naeem briefed the visiting delegation about the current flood situation and the ongoing rescue and relief operation in the affected areas.
Commending the incessant efforts of NDMA for providing relief to the flood victims, the head of the Chinese delegation said his country wished to make all possible contribution to rehabilitation task.
Referring to colossal losses in the wake of the natural calamity, the delegation head said the current situation is a challenge for Pakistan, adding that China will stand by Pakistan in this hour of need.
Apprising the delegation about the relief and rescue activities in the flood-ravaged areas, Sajid Naeem lauded the positive and meaningful support extended by the government and people of China for the victims of this calamity and expressed hope that this cooperation will continue until the sufferings of the victims are alleviated.
