Egyptian authorities have discovered three tunnels used for smuggling foodstuffs at the border with the Palestinian territory of Gaza Strip, the official MENA news agency reported on Tuesday.

Egyptian bodies concerned also found a number of trucks carrying commodities that were supposed to be smuggled into Gaza through the tunnels.

Egyptian authorities blocked the tunnels from the Egyptian side and confiscated the shipments, said the report.

A number of tunnels have been discovered recently on the Egyptian-Gaza border.

On Friday, three tunnels used for smuggling goods were discovered at the border with Gaza. On Thursday, Egyptian authorities destroyed two tunnels along the borders with the Palestinian enclave.
