Indonesia, which has long supported the struggle of the Palestinians, is to hold a charity night on Thursday evening to raise funds for the victims of the Israeli strikes in Palestine, the committee of the event said on Wednesday.
The charity event aimed to arouse people's sympathy for the Palestinians who are still in danger, the chairperson of the organizing committee Lidya Hanifa said.
The event would be held in the capital at the Balai Kartini hall, she said.
"Women and children are always the victim in every conflict. We are here to try to help them," the chairman was quoted by the Antara news wire as saying.
Indonesia, which has no diplomatic ties with Israel, has recently given political and financial support to Palestine.
