Tunisia's municipal theatre will host a festival on laugh as it is due to open its doors for fans of comedies and people seeking for entertainment, national radio reported on Thursday.

The theatre will host the third edition of laugh festival from January 24 to Februray 1 and its earnings will profit to specific-need children, especially those in Gaza, according to the report.

According to the report, the festival will include three nights with a mixture of "one man shows", cinema, sketches, stand up, musical show and mime show.

Tunisia has the most modern economy in the Arab world, but sociologists say high unemployment and free market reforms have bred insecurity and individualism and made people morose.

A study showed nine percent of Tunisians suffered from anxiety, most of them women.
