Jordan Sends 261 Aid Convoys to Gaza Since Israeli Attacks

Jordan has sent over 200 aid convoys to the Gaza Strip since December 27, when Israel launched intensive offensive against the enclave, local daily The Jordan Times on Wednesday quoted an official as reporting.
A total of 261 aid convoys have been dispatched to Gaza ever since the war, said spokesperson with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) Mohammad Kilani.
On Tuesday, 20 trucks carrying bottled water, sugar, food parcels, blankets, mattresses and medical supplies crossed the King Hussein Bridge, added the official.
Jordan has started a daily delivery of aid to Gaza, soon after Israel launched its offensive against the enclave.
The daily delivery generally includes 10 trucks loaded with medical equipment and donations by Jordanians.
In addition, Royal Jordanian (RJ) announced that it is ready to carry food and medical assistance to Gazans for free from any of the countries covered by its network to Amman.
The airliner on Monday has transported a relief aid shipment from Brussels to Amman, according to an RJ statement.
Israel's three weeks attacks has left more than 1,300 Palestinians killed, 412 of them children, and some 5,300 others wounded, 1,855 of them were children, the offensive caused widespread destruction and suffering.
