Hamas Gives Conditions for Ending Gaza Conflict

Hamas said the only solution to the ongoing Gaza crisis would be Israeli retreat from Gaza, ceasing aggression and lifting the blockade, local Elnashra website reported on Friday.

"The enemy has started to realize that the military operations will not achieve the goals it sought," said Osama Hamdan, representative of the Hamas movement in Lebanon.

He added that Israel's continuous aggression on Gaza is due to the "incompetence of the Arab countries," stressing that some Arab regimes have been "collaborating" with Israel and will be held "accountable" for that.

He stressed that "any Arab country considering peace with Israel is dreaming."

Israel continued its strikes on different targets in Gaza Strip on Friday despite a UN ceasefire resolution which calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Officials representing the two main Palestinian factions in Lebanon, Hamas and Fatah, have been fully cooperating to keep the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon calm and under control.
