One of the two patients was 18-year-old Liu Xinwei, who had a voice and video meeting with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Sunday. She met the press and posed for photos with medical workers and health officials before she left Beijing's Ditan Hospital at around 10 am.

The other patient, surnamed Yang, took a low-key departure from the No. 8 People's Hospital in Guangzhou very early in the morning, said the hospital's president Yang Zhan at a press briefing.

"At the patient's request for a low-key return to normal life, we don't have a farewell ceremony or allow the press to meet him," he said.

One more confirmed A/H1N1 flu patient is still being treated at Beijing's Ditan Hospital.
