At least 200 vehicles are stranded on a highway linking China and Pakistan after more than 30 mudslides and cave-ins hit the highway in northwest China's Xinjiang, local authorities said Wednesday.
No casualties have been reported.
Two days of heavy rain and snow in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region caused the mudslides and cave-ins.
The local government has ordered traffic workers to clear the highway.
The China-Pakistan highway is 1,000-kilometers long and crosses mountains, rivers and glaciers on the northwest China plateau, with 420 kilometers of the highway inside China.
