Lhasa Railway Station Records 300 Days of Safe Operation

The Lhasa railway station has seen 300 days of safe operation by Thursday, said a spokesman for the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company.

The station, terminal of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, has handled 537,000 passengers and 26,300 tons of cargo since July 1, 2006, when the station was put into operation.

Every day, four pairs of trains run on the railway, transporting 5,000 travelers between Tibet and inland cities and boosting the travel industry of the Tibet Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province.
