Israeli Army Detains 11 Palestinians in West Bank

The Israeli army forces rounded up at least 11 Palestinians in the West Bank raids overnight and predawn on Monday, Palestinian security sources and Israeli Radio reported.
The arrests were conducted during Israeli army raids, mainly in the city of Ramallah, the sources said, adding that the Israeli army is conducting arrests almost everyday for several months.
Israeli Radio quoted Israeli army spokesman as saying that the 11 people were wanted activists and were taken for interrogation, adding that the troops faced no confrontation in their raids.
Israel launches the West Bank raids on daily basis despite earlier security agreements with the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).
Currently, the Jewish state holds more than 11,000 Palestinian prisoners in its jails.
The daily raids and the continuation of settlement activities in the occupied West Bank obstructed the peace talks between Israelis and the Palestinians.
The PNA officials had insisted that peace negotiations with Israel will not resume until Israel stops its settlements and security activities in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
