Israeli Army Detains 17 Palestinians in West Bank

Israeli forces arrested 17 Palestinians in West Bank raids last night and predawn on Wednesday, Palestinian security sources said.
The arrests were conducted during Israeli army raids in the cities of Jenin, Tulkarem and Bethlehem, the sources added.
Israeli sources said the 17 were wanted activists and were taken for interrogation, adding that the troops faced no confrontation in their raids.
Israel launches West Bank raids on daily basis despite earlier security agreements with the Palestinian National Authority. Currently, the Jewish state holds more than 11,000 Palestinian prisoners in its jails.
The daily raids and the continuation of settlement activities in the occupied West Bank obstructed months of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
