PNA Says Peace Talks with Israel Must Deal with All Final-status Issues

Any real peace process should include comprehensive and fair solution to all final-status issues, a spokesman of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) said on Wednesday.
Nabil Abu Rdineh made the remarks while commenting on Israeli Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks to pursue peace talks with the Palestinians.
"The Israeli government must clearly commit to achieve real peace in which the Palestinian statehood is established on the lands that were occupied in 1967 with the holy Jerusalem as its capital," said Abu Rdineh.
He added that the creation of the Palestinian statehood must be part of the two-state solution, based on the peace process and the international resolutions.
"Any solutions with other names or calls will be an attempt to evade from the peace requirements and obligations," Abu Rdineh added, reminding Israel that the construction of settlements in West Bank and annexing Palestinian lands in Jerusalem must stop.
At a business conference in Jerusalem today, Netanyahu said: "I think that the Palestinians should understand that they have in our government a partner for peace, for security and for rapid development of the Palestinian economy."
The former US administration renewed the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks in November 2007 but the two sides failed to reach any breakthrough.
