"The international community must assume its responsibilities by quickly resolving the roots of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," the king urged.
Solana voices hope to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, which produces long-term calm and is respected by everybody.
The EU envoy also underlined the importance of Jordan's role in delivering aid into Gaza.
