A ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of China's 1911 Revolution, or the Xinhai Revolution, will be held on Sunday morning in Beijing.

President Hu Jintao will deliver a speech at the ceremony, which will be held at the Great Hall of the People.

The ceremony will be aired live by China Central Television (CCTV)'s Chinese and foreign language channels, China National Radio and China Radio International.

Xinhua News Agency will provide news services for the ceremony in Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Portuguese.

Real-time reports on the ceremony will also be available on major Internet portals, including people.com and xinhuanet.com.

The 1911 Revolution, which began on Oct. 10, 1911 with an armed uprising, ended 2,000 years of imperial rule by toppling the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and resulted in a republican government, the first in Asia.
