Mongolia and other countries would benefit from China's experience of tackling the current financial crisis, Mongolian Prime Minister Sanj Bayar said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua on Saturday.

"As China's good friend, Mongolia is happy to see policies and measures Chinese government has taken to handle the financial crisis," Bayar said on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in the scenic Boao town of south China's Hainan Province.

"All the measures are worth learning for other countries of the world including Mongolia," he said.

Right after concluding a speech calling for cooperation among Asian countries at the opening ceremony of the BFA annual conference, Bayar said that his China trip carried especial importance when the world is facing financial crisis.

"Officials, business people and scholars from all over the world can take the BFA as a platform at which they have chances to brainstorm and find out solutions to the crisis," the prime minister said.

"All the world is discussing how to overcome the crisis, and each country needs to cooperate with others," He said.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao delivered a keynote speech at the opening meeting. He introduced the steps China has taken to cope with the severe impact of the global financial crisis, saying the country's package plan is "paying off", and positive changes have taken place in the economy.

Bayar expressed "high appreciation" for the proposals raised by the Chinese premier, saying Mongolia is very happy to see that China has taken a series of effective measures to overcome the crisis, which would benefit the whole world.

According to Bayar, trade and economic cooperation with other countries play an important role in Mongolia's economic development. To tide over the difficulties posed by the financial crisis and maintain stable growth, the Mongolian government will implement the policy of tapping mineral resources to boost economic growth.

He believed the economic and trade cooperation with China has been in the best period in history, and will continue to progress in the future.

Mongolia and China enjoy huge potentials in cooperation of infrastructure construction and mineral resources exploitation, Bayar said.

Although suffering from the crisis, China has provided Mongolia with assistance and concessionary loans. The Mongolian government expresses heartfelt thanks to the help, Bayar said.

The five-day China trip was Bayar's first to China after he took office as prime minister in November 2007, and the visit coincided with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Mongolia and China should carry on their traditional friendship and continuously push forward bilateral relations, Bayar said.
