The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will provide a good platform for the countries to discuss cooperation amid the deepening global financial crisis, said Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday.
Zardari, together with other 10 foreign leaders, will attend the 2009 meeting of the BFA due from April 17 to 19 in south China's Hainan Province.
Former US President George W. Bush and former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda have also been confirmed to attend the meeting.
The economy of Pakistan has been deeply affected by the global crisis and the BFA will provide a platform to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and overcome difficulties, Zardari said while meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui.
The Chinese government has taken effective measures to stimulate economy, from which other developing countries can learn a lot, Zardari said.
