Enterprises Encouraged to Take Action to Fight Climate Change

Global enterprises should take action immediately to fight climate change, United Nations Under-Secretary- General Sha Zukang said on Tuesday in Durban, South Africa.

Sha made the remarks at the “CECEP in Action” meeting held by the China Energy Conservation and Environment Protection Group (CECEP ) at the China Pavilion.

Sha said the exhibition the CECEP showed tow years ago at the Copenhagen UN Climate Change Conference and the initiative of energy conservation and emission reduction by the Group, show that Chinese companies can be important partners and actors in promoting energy and in reducing emission.

Sha emphasized climate change talks are very important. However, action is much more important.

The CECEP is the flagship enterprise in the fields of energy conservation, emission reduction and environment protection in China.
