Ecological oasis in Tengger desert

 A man captains a boat down a river in the ecological area of Jinyin Island at Tengger Lake, in Zhongwei City, northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on Sep 1, 2011. The former dusty area has been replaced by beautiful scenery that includes flowers, water-ways, walk-ways and trees. The area, located at the southeastern edge of China's fourth largest desert,the Tengger Desert, covers about 220,000 square meters, and has a water area spanning about 667 hectares. [Xinhua]
