Villagers receive fresh water from the local fire brigade in Yongchuan District of Chongqing Municipality Aug. 17, 2011. The local government has ordered water facilities to help almost 2,000 drought-stricken local residents. Temperatures in 14 counties of Chongqing reached more than 40 degrees Celsius over the past week. Two rivers and 51 reservoirs have dried up due to the dry spell. [Chinanews.com]
