Beijing Reception Honors Political Advisors from HK, Macao

A reception honoring political advisors from Hong Kong and Macao was held here Sunday on the sidelines of the annual session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the reception hosted by the General Office of CPPCC National Committee and the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
Wang Gang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, expressed appreciation for the political advisors' role in serving national development and helping maintain stability and prosperity in Hong Kong and Macao.
He urged the political advisors to give full play to their advantages and pool wisdom and strength so as to contribute more to the two regions' prosperity and stability as well as the nation's reform, opening up and modernization drive.
They should also make more contributions to the peaceful reunification of the motherland and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, he said.
