Former Mayor Expelled from Legislature

Lu Qinghai, former mayor of the city of Luohe in central China's Henan Province, was expelled Wednesday from the national legislature for a "serious" suspected violation of discipline and law.
The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's legislature, approved Lu's removal at a bimonthly session.
