Beijing to Regulate House Rent

The Beijing municipal government will release regulations to adjust the city's house rents to a reasonable level, The Beijing News reported.

Liu Qi, a deputy to the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, said the city will strengthen management on rental houses, which are expected to take a 60 percent proportion of total housing in the future.

The new regulations will help develop a rental-oriented housing supply system and government will strengthen the administration to ensure rental house supply, Liu said.
