What Are the Rights of CPPCC Members?

CPPCC members (including members of both the National Committee and local committees at various levels) have following rights:

Have the right to vote and to stand for election, and put forward criticisms and offer suggestions concerning the work of CPPCC.

Participate in discussions regarding state policies and major local affairs through CPPCC meetings and organizations, and put forward suggestions and offer criticism concerning the work of government agencies and their staff.

Have the right to announce reservations regarding local resolutions they disagree with on the condition that they will strictly carry out the resolutions.

Participate in the inspections and investigations organized by the CPPCC.
