6.7-magnitude Quake Hits off East Coast of Honshu, Japan

An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter Scale hit off the east coast of Honshu of Japan at 4:16 PM Beijing Time Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at 36.9 degrees north latitude and 140.8 degrees east longitude with a depth of about 30 kilometers, the center said.
