Zhao Qizheng, minister of the State Council Information Office,
addresses those attending the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of
Understanding on China's joining the Development Gateway Foundation
and the press conference for launching the China Development
Gateway (CnDG) May 28, 2002. Zhao said: "The Internet is playing a
unique role in reducing poverty and promoting development. I hope
that the CnDG will play their role effectively."
