Origin Quantum, a Chinese quantum computing company, unveiled its fourth-generation domestically developed superconducting quantum computer, Origin Wukong-180, on Saturday.

Equipped with a self-developed superconducting quantum chip more powerful than the previous generation, the quantum computer has started accepting quantum computing tasks from across the globe starting Saturday, according to the company's statement.

Developed independently by Origin Quantum, based in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, Origin Wukong-180 features full-industry-chain autonomy and controllability, according to the company.

Its four key core systems — the quantum computing chip system, quantum computing measurement and control system, quantum computing environment support system, and quantum computer operating system — are all fully self-developed by Origin Quantum at the full-stack level.

In 2024, the company launched its third-generation domestically developed superconducting quantum computer Origin Wukong globally.

Having run stably for more than two years to date, it has recorded about 50 million remote accesses from over 160 countries worldwide, completed more than 900,000 global quantum computing tasks, and achieved China's first export and commercial sale of domestically developed quantum computing power in 2025.

As China's first quantum computing company, Origin Quantum has built the country's first quantum chip production line, delivered and deployed China's first superconducting quantum computer.

The firm developed China's first quantum computer operating system available for public download, and launched quantum computing education programs in collaboration with nearly 100 universities nationwide.
