Five girls in Wuyuan county, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have received punishment for bullying a 13-year-old girl, according to an official announcement by the county.

Four of the perpetrators, aged 14, have been placed under administrative detention and fined, and the fifth, a 13-year-old, is receiving corresponding corrective education measures.

On Jan 13, county police reported that at around 4:00 pm on Jan 11, Fu, a 14-year-old student, had a conflict with the victim, surnamed Liu. Fu then invited four other girls, along with Liu, to an unoccupied area of a building, where they subjected Liu to verbal abuse, threats, and physical assault. Some individuals present at the scene observed and recorded videos of the incident, which went viral online.

According to a preliminary hospital diagnosis, Liu suffered from skin trauma and soft tissue contusion.

The public security authorities lawfully imposed the public security administration punishments.
