China's international trade promotion body vows enhanced support for foreign businesses

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) said Wednesday that it is stepping up efforts to support foreign enterprises in China, via multiple measures to enhance services in key areas.

Since the beginning of 2025, the CCPIT has hosted nearly 100 multinational company executives and organized 274 delegations for international visits, aiming to bolster cooperation in industrial and supply chains, spokesperson Wang Guannan told a press conference.

The council has also deepened cooperation through major events, including the third China International Supply Chain Expo held last month, where 35 percent of total participants came from overseas, according to the spokesperson.

To deepen cooperation, the CCPIT has organized local visits bringing together foreign commercial associations and enterprises, while holding symposiums focusing on business environment optimization, pharmaceutical industry development and localized production. These efforts have resulted in multiple cooperation agreements and prompt responses to foreign companies' needs, Wang said.

The spokesperson noted that despite external uncertainties -- foreign businesses remain strongly committed to expanding their presence in China and firmly confident in the Chinese market.

Looking ahead, the CCPIT will continue serving as a bridge to promote higher-level economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries -- while also helping foreign enterprises invest, develop and succeed in China, Wang said. ■
