Number of motor vehicles in Macao SAR rises year-on-year: census service

The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR)'s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated Monday that licensed motor vehicles in Macao totaled 252,777 as of November 2024, up by 0.6 percent year-on-year.

The service revealed that in November, cross-border vehicular traffic (832,830 trips), passenger ferry trips (6,380 trips), and arriving and departing commercial flights at the Macao International Airport (4,615 trips) rose by 21.5 percent, 3.7 percent, and 13.6 percent year-on-year, respectively.

The DSEC also reported the SAR's communications statistics on Monday. As of November, mobile phone subscribers (1,445,803) and internet subscribers (773,807) showed respective growth of 4.9 percent and 7.4 percent year-on-year.
