Beijing book fair to highlight CPC centennial anniversary

BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The 34th Beijing Book Fair, which highlights celebrations for the centennial founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is slated to open on March 31.

A special theme exhibition area will display quality books paying tribute to the 100th anniversary of the CPC's founding, the Publishers Association of China said.

The book fair will involve nearly 700 publishing houses and cultural institutions and showcase close to 400,000 various sorts of books, the association said.

Over 200 cultural events, including book launches, author talks and forums, will be organized offline, together with an online livestreaming event for promoting book sales.
